Are hosting and domain fees included in web design prices in Singapore?
Not always. Among the 10 agencies we checked, Webdorks includes first-year hosting but charges the domain at the provider's rate, while QUAPE sells WordPress hosting separately from S$25 a month, billed annually.
Not always. Among the 10 agencies we compared, there is no standard approach: some fold hosting into a package for a limited period, some sell it as a separate plan, and most do not publish the detail at all. Domain registration, hosting, paid plugins, stock assets, payment-gateway charges and ongoing maintenance may each be billed separately. Only two agencies publish website design prices, from S$3,800 one-off at QUAPE and in a S$5,000–S$30,000 starting range at iFoundries; the other eight quote on request, so hosting and domain costs need confirming as separate lines in any quotation. No universal government fee applies to a commercial website project in Singapore.

What changes the answer
- First year versus renewal: a free or bundled first year can be followed by annual hosting charges.
- Who registers the domain: a domain arranged by the agency may be billed at the registrar's rate, and you need to know whose account holds it.
- Type of site: e-commerce adds payment-gateway charges, and plugins or stock assets may carry their own fees.
- Maintenance scope: SSL certificates, backups, security updates and maintenance may sit inside or outside the hosting fee.
What to check before you decide
- Ask for an itemised quote separating design, development, content, hosting, maintenance and third-party subscriptions.
- Confirm hosting and domain renewal prices after the first year.
- Make sure you own, or can access, the domain, hosting account, analytics and website code.
- Check the warranty, backup arrangements and post-launch support period.
